Why a Makers Market?
Last Christmas I visited a 'Christmas' Market. Honestly, I was beyond disappointed!
We think the people of Narberth (and indeed Wales) can do better. There's a wealth of talent in Wales; a new wave of talented makers creating beautiful goods sustainably and not an import in sight!
We decided to bring together talented makers and award winning food together in a celebration of the season.
How Will This Event be Different?
Simple - it will look, smell and taste festive and special!
The Market is an evening event; it will be cold and dark so beautiful lights and burning Swedish logs (as long as it's dry) will light the area.
There will be freshly roasted chestnuts and Welsh Street Food Champion 2018 Paternoster Farm will be serving up an amazing menu with a focus on using fresh, local ingredients.
Award winning seasonal and festive sorbets and ice creams will be available from Fire & Ice who make their products right here in Narberth.
(There may even be something warm and mulled too - but shhhh...it's a secret!)
The store will be open and the additional marquees will be heated so visitors can enjoy browsing.
Makers include basket makers, hand knitters, textile sewers, wood turners, yarn weavers, fabric printers, paper folders, jewellery creators, willow weavers, spoon whittlers, folk artists and... well, you'll have to join us and see!
If you want to get creative then you'll have the opportunity to be a maker; paint your own ceramic festive tree decoration and collect it from Creative Café once it's been fired in the kiln.
Add our market to your diary and support local makers and your local economy this Christmas!
